在做完限时阅读后,建议同学们要将短文重新再看一遍,对文章所出现的词汇短语进行及时归纳和总结。这样,利用语篇来识记单词、短语,复习语法知识要比单纯地看考纲记单词,做单项选择题记语法点效果要好得多。因为语篇为我们提供了丰富的语言文化背景及交际背景,学生可根据上下文的内容进行猜词,推理完成对语篇的理解,并带动单词和短语的复习,形成较为流畅的语言表达习惯,为书面表达打下基础。
二、重视书面表达训练
书面表达要求在限定的时间内根据考生所提示的内容要求,用英文写出一篇字数为100字左右的短文,是对学生综合运用语言能力的一种考查方式,要写好这篇短文,需分四个步骤:
1.确定文章体裁。写作前,首先认真审题,看文章要求用哪种文体写,是书面通知、日记、书信,还是看图写话,不同的文体有不同的格式。
2.选择准确的词汇和短语。确定文体后,要把短文的内容提示用准确的单词及短语写出来,以避免遗漏要点。
3.连词成句。将已选好的单词和短语根据题目的提示用适当的连词连成句子,注意短文的人称、时态、动词变形、名词复数是否运用正确。
4.检查语言。短文写完后,一定要反复研读,注意修改文章出现的语法错误,如人称用错,时态,动词及习语搭配等等错误。
5.书面表达所需要的时间大约是20分钟,建议同学们每周选择一至二个体裁的短文进行自我训练,并与参考范文进行对比,看看自己文章中的要点是否齐全,短文运用是否恰当,并有针对性的记忆一些参考范文中的好句子,好短语,只要坚持写作,不断修改,写作能力是会逐步得到加强的。
下面介绍几种增加句子复杂性的常见方法,也是得高分的“亮点”。
1.改变句子的开头方式,不要一味地都是主语开头,接着是谓语、宾语,最后再加一个状语。可以把状语置于句首,或用分词做状语等。
[原文]We met at the school gate and went there together early in the morning.
[修正]Early in the morning we met at the school gate and went them together.
[原文]The young man could not help crying when he heard the bad news.
[修正]On hearing the bad news,the young man could not help crying.
2.在整篇文章中,避免只使用一两个句式,要灵活运用诸如倒装句、强调句、主从复合句、分词作状语等。
①强调句
[原文]My parents praised Ah Fu warmly.It had saved my little sister bravely.
[修正]My parents praised Ah Fu warmly.It was our brave Ah Fu who had saved my little sister bravely.
②由what等引导的从句,此处的what相当于中文的“所……”,有很大的概括力,如:
[原文]We had to stand there to catch the offender.
[修正]What we had to do was (to) stand there,trying to catch the offender.
[例句]What China has achieved in recent years is known through the world.
[例句]My hometown is no longer what it used to be.
③由with或without引导的短语。如:
He sat in a chair with a newspaper in the hand.
